FOREST SCHOOL

WHAT HAPPENS AT FOREST SCHOOL?

As children reach the age of 3 at Brookside, they will have the opportunity to be involved in at least one 6-week program of Forest school sessions. Our sessions are led by a level 3 trained forest school leader and a supporting practitioner. Forest school sessions are carried out with a consistent group of 8 children to establish team bonding and to allow skills and knowledge to be embedded.

All children over the age of 3 will have the opportunity to be involved in Forest school sessions regardless of their needs and abilities. If necessary, support staff or parents may need to attend and support children with additional needs to ensure they are kept safe and included.
