About Our Staff and Our Provision

At Brookside pre-school we pride ourselves in our ability to have high adult-to-child ratios (above the minimum statutory levels set out below). We feel that this enables us to give a level of care which helps to support all of our children's learning and development needs.

Our minimum statutory ratios are:

One adult for every 4 children aged 2-3 years

One adult for every 8 children aged over 3 years

Our members of staff are:

Mrs Michelle Bingham (Manager, Early Years degree)

Mrs Leanne Moriarty (Deputy Manager, level 3 qualified)

Mrs. Elaine Severn (Practitioner, level 3 qualified)

Mrs. Emma Forbes (Practitioner, level 3 qualified)

Ms Nita Saleem (Assistant Practitioner)

We are also very proud of our commitment to children's safety and health at Brookside pre-school. ALL of our staff hold valid Paediatric First Aid qualifications and we are in the process of going through the accreditation process with the FIRST AID INDUSTRY BODY, for their "In Safe Hands" award.

It is our aim to provide a stimulating and exciting environment to support your child as they develop a love of learning through play and become confident exploring the world around them.

At Brookside pre-school we are lucky to have a large indoor and outdoor space which we use creatively to encourage children to explore and enjoy. We have a wide range of resources to complement our space, which helps to promote each child's individual learning and development through play and interactions with our skilled staff and other children.

We actively encourage prospective new children and their families to visit the pre-school during our sessions so that you can see us "in action" and meet all of our staff. Please feel free to call to arrange an appointment (see CONTACT US page) or just pop in during our opening hours.
